After several months dedicated to construction and obtaining the necessary operating permits, the Villadossola photovoltaic system has finally been activated and is now producing clean energy!
With a total capacity of 788.64 kWp, the plant will ensure significant energy savings by harnessing the renewable power of the sun.
The adoption of this technology was driven by the need to combine:
• compatibility with architectural and environmental protection requirements;
• zero noise pollution;
• reduced fossil fuel consumption;
• electricity generation without the emission of pollutants.
In addition, the photovoltaic system contributes to reducing the release of polluting substances and greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
It is estimated that the plant will allow a 30% reduction in the current electricity drawn from the national grid, while the energy it produces will cover about 7% of the site’s total electricity demand.
The project was completed by utilizing an area of the site that could not have been used for any other purpose.
