The aim of VINAVIL is to excel in the way they analyse market trends and forecast future needs, in the way they produce goods and service the needs of their clients and in the way they carry out internal research, design and administration activities.

Certifications

To enable the company to comply with mandatory standards and requirements, VINAVIL has an ISO 9001 Quality Management System that was certified for the first time in 1995 by Certiquality. Over the course of the following years, the company was also awarded certification for their ISO 14001 Environmental Management System BS OHSAS 18001 and ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.

These certifications were awarded at company level and include all company processes carried out at head-office in Milan and at the manufacturing sites in Ravenna and Villadossola covering the "Research and development, engineering, production, sales and technical assistance for solids, solutions and dispersions of vinylacetate, ethylene, acrylic and styrene-acrylic resins and for admixtures for mortars and concrete, by means of processes of polymerization and salification."

The Raviflex BLS line of products, which is manufactured at the Ravenna plant, has also been certified according to ISO/FSSC 22000 standards for the “Research, development and production of synthetic polymers for the food industry”.

Research & Development

The main Research & Development Center is in Villadossola, Montedison’s historical site, which saw the development of many precursors of today’s key products and of complex reaction technologies, still highly competitive to date. Villadossola also houses the Technology Center, which provides technical service for the development of new products and their applications.

A research unit also operates Milan-based laboratories, mainly in the area of exploratory synthesis. It also provides assistance in the Ravenna manufacturing activities, whose original methods, developed by ANIC (Azienda Nazionale Idrogenazione Combustibili), differ from those developed by Montedison, followed in Villadossola.

The R&D Centre in Laval, Canada, also has a 10-member team dedicated to the development and improvement of VINAVIL Americas’ products and technologies.
