VINAVIL Americas participated and exhibited in the Expo at the 2022 World Adhesive and Sealant Conference (WAC) in Chicago, Illinois on April 25 to the 27. Hemant Shah, Business Director for VINAVIL Americas, and Neal Rogers, Business Development Manager for VINAVIL Americas, were joined in the booth by international colleagues: Fabio Chiozza, the Product Line Manager Adhesives for VINAVIL SpA, and Mikaela Decio, the Head Environment and Sustainability for MAPEI SpA.
“It was fantastic to have our colleagues with us at WAC. It really highlighted the fact that VINAVIL is an international company with a vast pool of knowledge and resources to pull from to help our clients. Our booth confirmed this fact — showcasing a wide variety of technologies including adhesives for wood, paper, graphic arts, pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) labels, textiles etc. and nano-technology polymers for wood coating, water-based enamel, and concrete coating for interior and exterior applications,” - Shah explained, “people are always impressed by our capabilities and our scope, especially when they meet us in the booth. We had many great visits with our existing customers and there were many opportunities to generate new sales leads.”
In addition to the show floor, WAC 2022 offered a robust program of technical presentations. “There were many interesting technical presentations on various types of adhesives and adhesive technology,” stated Shah. “There were great keynote speakers form HB Fuller, Bostik, 3M, and Henkel and they emphasized sustainability, the need to reduce our carbon footprints, and the importance of digitalizing the connection between suppliers and customers.” In fact, Mikaela Decio presented, “Sustainable Adhesives in the Building Industry,” which was very well-received.
According to WAC, 1,200 attendees travelled to Chicago not only from around the United States, but also from Europe, Japan, Korea, Latin America, and Canada. “This show gave us an excellent opportunity to highlight VINAVIL’s advanced technologies and our developments in polymer science,” Shah said. “WAC 2024 will be held in London (UK) and we look forward to seeing our colleagues and customers there.”
